Class Descriptions

ABS ONLY: Strengthen your abdominal and lower back muscles, increase your flexibility and work on toning your midsection.

ADVANCED CARDIO: Not for beginners – this is a non-stop cardio class which includes a mix of step, kickboxing and high-impact aerobics. You’ve been warned.

ALL BALL WORKOUT: Just what it sounds like, a complete total body workout using the exercise balls.

AQUA AEROBICS: Come get wet and have a great workout. Using the natural resistance of the water, you’ll do a variety of exercises to get your heart rate up and tone your body. No swimming required, but please bring a towel.

BOOT CAMP: Are you ready to be all that you can be? An advanced interval based workout with abdominal training, running drills and rotating between core, cardio & strength stations to target the entire body.

BOXING SKILLS: Learn the skills of a boxer. You’ll learn punching drills, footwork and the proper way to hit the heavy bag and speed bag. You will gain confidence as you learn some self-defense skills too.

BURN & FIRM: A high-impact cardio and strength class, incorporating kickboxing and toning exercises for a great upper and lower body workout.

DOUBLE SHOT – ABS & WEIGHTS: A 45 minute workout designed to work on muscle toning and improving your midsection.

EXTREME BOOT CAMP: Are you ready to be all that you can be? An advanced interval based workout with abdominal training, running drills and rotating between core, cardio & strength stations to target the entire body.

FIT YOGA: We’ll incorporate additional strength moves (like push-ups) and keep moving between poses to get your heart rate up while focusing on stretching and flexibility. A basic knowledge of yoga poses is recommended but not essential.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS:  Not for beginners. This class is 45 minutes of non-stop high-intensity total body conditioning using functional real-world movements. You might be toned, tight, and ready for the beach, but are you able to get your child out of his car seat or carry a case of water from the grocery store? Functional fitness movements focus on building a body capable of doing real-life activities in real-life positions, not just lifting a certain amount of weight in an idealized posture created by a gym machine.

GENTLE YOGA: A great introduction to yoga, especially for seniors and people coming back from injuries. The focus is on flexibility and relaxation.

HATHA YOGA: You will move through a series of classic asanas (poses), using your breath to guide you. With this style of yoga, the poses are held for longer periods than with Vinyasa yoga.

INTENSATI: IntenSati is a revolutionary workout that fuses high-energy aerobics, martial arts, dance, yoga and strength conditioning with meditation all while saying positive affirmations. One of the core teachings of IntenSati is "You are what you think you are" and "You have the power to choose what you think" This workout is about training yourself to think empowering, life altering thoughts. It is the practice of a warrior versus a whiner or complainer.

KICKBOXING: Non-contact aerobic kickboxing where you’ll incorporate kicking and punching for a total body workout guaranteed to get your heart pumping.

LOWER BODY TONING & STRETCH: Targets lower body “trouble spots” like abs, glutes & thighs. Total body stretching completes the 45 minute workout.

PILATES: A non-impact exercise system that develops strength, flexibility, coordination, speed, agility and endurance. In this class you will learn how to correct your posture, improve balance and focus on the mind-body connection.

REBOUNDING & WEIGHTS: Using the mini-trampolines allows for a lower-impact, high energy class that will get your heart pumping. We also incorporate light weights to tone and strengthen your muscles.

SPINNING: A group cycling class that incorporates great music to keep up the intensity level. We’ll incorporate climbs, sprints and jumps to simulate an outdoor bike ride. A great cardio rush for all levels. Note: Some classes are for advanced riders only.

STEP & TONE: A mix of traditional step aerobics combined with weights to tone and sculpt.

TAI-CHI: A non-contact, non-combative martial art that improves health and energy and reduces stress. Its practice promotes flexibility, balance and physical control.

TOTAL BODY FITNESS: Combining weight-training, cardiovascular training and core strengthening, this is a circuit based class intended to challenge you with a variety of exercises and movements. You can expect increased muscle tone, improved cardiovascular endurance and enhanced core strength and balance.

TRIPLE THREAT TONING: 20 minutes of Spinning, 20 minutes of toning & sculpting and 10 minutes of focused abdominal & core work, all to the sounds of your favorite remixes.

VINYASA YOGA: A continuous flow of postures coordinated with your breathing. This class will increase your strength and flexibility while toning your entire body.

WOMEN & WEIGHTS: Incorporate weight lifting into your fitness program to lose weight, get stronger and tone and sculpt your body.

ZUMBA FITNESS: Zumba® fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms, and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you've got Zumba®!
